Therapeutic Massage

We incorporate many different massage modalities into our therapeutic massages, based on the specific needs of each client. Some clients may want a slower, more relaxing massage. Some may want us to use techniques to aid a specific region of the body that is tight, or hurting. We will target layers of muscle and connective tissue to release adhesions, which are rigid bands of tissue that can cause pain and chronic tension. We will also incorporate modalities such as trigger point therapy, myofascial release, craniosacral therapy, and a variety of other techniques into each massage. Cupping therapy can also be used upon request. Please note that cupping therapy can and often will leave petechia  (what looks like bruising) circles on the body that can last up to a week. At times, therapeutic massage and cupping therapy can be intense, so be sure to let the therapist know if you need more or less pressure at any time. Also, be sure to drink plenty of water after a massage, as many built up toxins are released during the process. $85 for 60 minutes/$120 for 90 minutes

Cupping Therapy

Cupping is a traditional treatment favored by millions of people worldwide because it’s safe, comfortable, and remarkably effective for many health disorders. It’s the use of suction rather than compression for bodywork, that makes cupping therapy so unique. Cupping rapidly facilitates soft-tissue release, loosens and lifts connective tissue, breaks up and drains stagnation, while increasing blood and lymph flow to skin and muscles in ways not possible using only compression.

When the cups move, Negative Pressure Massage not only feels great, the pulling action engages the parasympathetic nervous system, allowing a deep relaxation to move through the entire body. People are often surprised with how relaxed the feel hours – or even days – afterwards! $45 for 30 minutes/$85 for 60 minutes

Kinesiology Taping

Kinesiology Taping is a definitive rehabilitative taping technique that is designed to facilitate the body’s natural healing process while providing support and stability to muscles and joints without restricting the body’s range of motion, as well as providing extended soft tissue manipulation to prolong the benefits of manual therapy. Taping generally lasts 4-7 days, and can be worn while working, showering and swimming.

Kinesiology Taping is accompanied by a short massage of the area, and a laser or IASTM treatment. $45 for 30 minutes. Taping may also be added to a massage session for $15.

Chair Massage for Events

Chair massage is a style of seated massage that focuses on the back, shoulders, neck, arms, and hands. The massage sessions are typically shorter, lasting anywhere from 5 – 30 minutes. During the massage, you are seated in a special chair with your face resting in a cradle, and you arms resting on a supportive pad. Your back and neck relax while the therapist relieves muscle tension using massage techniques such as kneading, compression and tapotement.
